How an entry goes from government records to a plain-English page you can trust.
Sources first
Every rating starts from official records: FDA, EFSA, Health Canada, JECFA and the California Food Safety Act, plus peer-reviewed studies. Each page lists its sources and the date it was checked.
How we use AI
AI drafts plain-English summaries from those records, and translates pages into Spanish and French. A person checks every English draft against the sources before it’s published. AI never sets a safety tier or a diet verdict.

Corrections
Found an error? Report it. We fix confirmed errors within 2 business days and note significant changes on the page.
Independence
